Airome technology adopted by 60 banks around the world is in Singapore now
Singapore, 30 September 2019 – Airome Technologies, a developer of cybersecurity solutions for digital banking and e-document management systems, has announced its entry into the Singapore market. With Singapore as its global headquarters, Airome will soon expand market presence and focus on business development in the rest of the Southeast Asia region, starting with Indonesia and Malaysia.
According to McKinsey, in Southeast Asia the number of digitally active customers has significantly grown since 2014, doubling in Emerging Asia (to 25 per cent of the population) and growing 1.2 times in Developed Asia (to 85 per cent of the population). Bank branches now account for 12-21 per cent of monthly transactions only. Meanwhile, everyone understands the importance of security in today’s increasingly digital world. With several markets in the Southeast Asia region leapfrogging the PC revolution to using mobile phones as their device of choice for financial transactions, consumers demand greater security and control. The number of threats of cybersecurity, frequency and quality of fraud, phishing and social engineering attacks is simultaneously increasing all around the world. Both these factors together affect the way of doing business and in our daily lives in general, it also gives added impetus to developers who specialise in FinTech and cybersecurity to provide the market more robust solutions.
Airome Technologies also announced the general availability (GA) of PayConfirm in Singapore. PayConfirm is Airome’s authentication solution that will help enable seamless and secure confirmation of transactions in digital banking and e-document management systems on mobile devices. The solution uses robust cryptographic methods, while the partner modules also possess device scoring and advanced techniques such as biometry to ensure security.
